What started as a hobby to create my website in 2017 led me to HTML and CSS. I played around with website builders but found that none are as powerful as pure HTML & CSS. When referencing modern web development, HTML and CSS are the foundation for what we know to be possible today.

Of course with HTML & CSS comes JavaScript. I started JS in 2019 with a strong background in HTML & CSS at the time. I caught on fast. Understanding the basics of the web is key before learning JS. I am excited to see what the future holds for libraries like ReactJS.

I started in Magento in early 2020. Anyone who has used Magento knows how complex it can seem at times. However, wouldn't you expect an eCommerce platform with the capability to list millions of products seamlessly to be a bit complex? I've been using Magento for three years and have earned dual certification in Magento 1 and 2.

With Magento comes PHP. Magento is written in PHP, so I started learning PHP in 2021. It has helped my progression in Magento significantly. With increasing web technologies, the use of PHP has dropped drastically, excluding Magento.

I use AWS to host all of my sites. AWS cloud computing gives you a broad range of technologies that make hosting faster and can add nearly any feature imaginable. Resources are easily accessible as you need them from infrastructure services such as computing, storage, databases, machine learning, and analytics.

AWS technologies used:

React Native is an open-source UI software framework that I use for mobile apps. It provides a slick, smooth, responsive user interface while significantly reducing load time. It's also much faster and cheaper to build apps in React Native as opposed to building native ones without the need to compromise on quality and functionality.
